Halloween Costumes - Not Just Kid Stuff Anymore

Remember when we were kids? Remember dressing up in a costume and going trick or treating? At least until you hit that age where you thought you were to old to go trick or treating anymore. You stopped dressing up in costumes and reverted to playing pranks, passing out candy, or just hanging out with friends watching scary movies. Now your an adult, and Halloween costume fun is back!

Yep, now you can dress up in a Halloween Costume all over again, only now, you have a even more fun doing it. The treat you receive has changed. You no longer go door to door begging for candy. You now dress up in your costume and go out to a club, bar, or a friends party. For one night you get to be a kid in adult skin.

Well, actually, you will be partaking of adult fun, so, it's a very different kind of fun. The costume allows you to release some of your inhibitions and do things you may not do any other time of year. At least some of us do. Some of you will go to the party in a Halloween costume and act exactly the same way you always do, and shake your head at all the people acting a fool. That's a shame. I think it is mentally, and emotionally beneficial to release your inhibitions on occasions. Halloween provides us with the perfect excuse to do so.

The costume you choose to wear can be your chance, at being somebody other than you. Whatever you do while wearing the costume, wasn't you, it was that character. Why not go a little wild? Of course that may not hold much weight with your spouse, or significant other, so be careful about how wild you get. My point is you can let yourself be more of .. you, with the excuse that you are just staying in character. You have less to worry about if you get a little foolish, it's ok, it's Halloween, and you are a stranger in a mask. Maybe it is this feeling of anonymity that we enjoy so much. Would'nt it be fun if we could have that feeling more than once a year?

In recent years the adult Halloween Costume industry has boomed. More and more adults are opening themselves up, and letting inhibitions down, and discovering a new kind of Halloween joy. If you have'nt dressed yourself up in a Halloween costume and gone out to a bar on Halloween yet, you should give it a try. Disguise yourself so that no one knows who you are, go to the bar, club, or party, and let loose.
